Looking for a creative/grabbing name for a company that I'm going to "pitch" for my entrepreneurship class. The general idea is a development of high-end, highly-customizable garages that form a central community for car culture in St. Louis (for starters). Want some kind of grabby car-themed name for the business!

Please help!

Question: What does "high-end, highly-customizable garages that form a central community" mean? Like, are you going to customize garages, or is this like a CCC where you can rent cars and stuff, and form a car club?

Think of it as almost a quasi-suburban/townhouse style community of garages that are customizable by the occupant. Like basically just a really nice ass garage that isn't attached to your house.

Another question about your idea. So this is what I'm getting.

These garages, are for people who don't own garages, but it's like a gated community where people rent out the garage (or buy). From here, its like I have a garage neighbor who has his own garage in this area/giant carpark?

Mostly correct, except think of these as auxiliary garages - as in, the owners already have garages but now have extra space to create and customize to their liking. I'm aiming for the upper-class/wealthy demographic mostly.

I think it would work well in STL - good weather, strong car culture! My hope would be to have STL as a test bed and look into a California location, because we all know Cali is the promised land.

I think I've seen this before... a few years ago on Jalopnik if I'm not mistaken... I can't for the life of me find it but it would be good to get ideas if you can dig it up. I know NJMP has (or was going to have but it flopped) something almost exactly like this except the townhomes also had bedrooms as an option and they were trackside. I believe there biggest issue was the over-priced them.

Anywho, I've brainstormed this a bit, I love this kind of stuff! Here's what I've thought of so far.

It should include horsepower, power, torque, something along those lines. Or maybe even apex. Also would be fun to maybe do a play on the Armes (extremely common in apartment names) vs Arms = Lift Armes name. Or a play on the cars are living animals idea so using Barns/Stables/Ranch in the name. Here's a list of names I've come up with so far off the top of my head using this formula. Some are better then others but gives you an idea of what I mean.

Apex Ranch

BHP Ranch

Torque Stables

Horsepower Stables

Lift Armes

Racing Ranch

Etc... you get the idea, if I think of more I'll post em. I think sticking with the rural/agricultural idea is a good route since there's so much nomenclature crossover between horses/livestock and cars. You could even do something with the "horseless Carriage" naming...

I just want to make sure I get this right: You want to have this place be a place where people can lease/rent garage space to wrench/store a prized car where they can easily obtain tools from a central facility and have a store in-house to get parts they need?

If so, this sounds amazing!

I've actually considered this, like having a store for parts and even some sort of car café type deal within the complex. As of now the base idea is mostly just the garages themselves (adding a store/restaurant would require different skills/expertise).

In fact, having a place close to the West End in St. Louis would be perfect!

If you put it in this area, I'd call it West End Motorcar Stables

I'm sure you could find a high rise industrial type building near there. You could build it out and have a lobby area where you have a weekly/monthly C&C.

Monthly C&C is definitely one of my goals for the place. Like I said, trying to create some kind of hub for car culture in STL. Do you live there? I'm a junior at Wash U!

Go ahead, it was just a little school project. It was basically heavy R&D with warrantied biodiesel conversions and performance upgrades. I think the prof gave us like 40 million in startup and told us to go nuts.

Both could have a tag line something like "a safe place for your true love"

I do not. I have family there and am down there a couple times a year. My aunt and uncle live in Olivette.
